REACH & MSDS
The REACH regulation came into force on 1st June 2007. REACH applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 ton or more per year; (including preparations / mixtures and articles under certain conditions) and must be registered.
The REACH regulation provides a transitional regime for registering existing chemical products. Depending on the volume and characteristics of substances, the transitional periods range from 3 ½ to 11 years (Article 23).
Pre-registration:
All substances produced or imported at a rate of more than 1Ton per year are pre-registered either by GPN or by its suppliers.
An information table on pre-registration of substances and a Certificate of Absence of SVHC is below.
Registering:
All substances produced or imported by GPN at more than 1000T per year are registered. Please find the registration numbers of substances and mixtures associated with them:

Example: For an NS fertilizer :
An NS fertilizer contains two substances subject to registration in 2010: ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulphate
The registration numbers are as follows:
- 01-2119490981-27-0023
- 01-2119490981-27-0029 for ammonium nitrate
- 01-2119455044-46-0016 for ammonium sulphate
The MSDS integrating these registration numbers will be updated as soon as possible.

Automated MSDS delivery following product orders
To receive automatic email updates MSDS, following product orders, please fill out this form.
GPN has set up a distribution tool linked to orders to send out an MSDS automatically. Sending an MSDS is triggered each time:
- for the first order for a product
- a product is ordered and the MSDS was sent over a year ago
- the contents of an MSDS are modified
